Hey all, another short update, this time for my Lammasu.

So, i had decided a while ago that i wanted my Lammasu to stand out. This guys will not be mounted and instead will use the rules from Storm of Magic as a separate monster. To this end I didn't want him to follow my army colours, hence the light blue, the hair follows the same recipe as my army mind you and at a later date i may add more to his base to lighten it up a bit.

He is currently at a "it'll do for now stage", i may go back and lighten up the skin more later on, but for now he is certainly playable...

Anyway, picture below, feedback and opinions welcome as always!

It's an old miniature. Originally in metal, but it was re-released for Storm of Magic in finecast.

That's a very special choice of colour Lucifer. What else are you planning to do with it? I would suggest a heavy blue was (can't remember the name) and a wash of nuln oil - because that needs to be toned down a bit.

I'm would like to see him next to your forces and see how well he fits.

he has had a blue and black wash ^_^

if anything he will go lighter, up to almost white. the Lammasu is a beast of chaos, a bold colour scheme seemed right!

My greenstuff-fu is pretty poor...

if in the new year i bought this  http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Dwarf-Flame-Cannon and had it direct delivered to someone would they do some reall basic green stuffing... for free?

im thinking just the crew green stuffed up (beards mostly) and some bull horns on the "face" of the machine, i can add the magma hopper later,m its just the sculpted stuff id have problems with...

At my home pc the pics work .
Great model and colors. The green is a matter of personal taste I think. For me one strong color would be sufficient.
I like the nightgoblins with the Chaos dwarfs. I know some people who use them and I bought 40 painted in a bunch. They fit very well and there is no pressure at all to change them.

Hello and fair met friends!

A short(ish) update here just to keep my BLOG up to date...

Artillery have been completed, some might say a little dark and bland, but i quite like them that way they will go in to the "done for now" pile along with the Lammasu...








And the start of the Bull Centaur "herd", they look a little diddly on their big bases uh ^_^  i love the models anyway! gone with a natural brown on the bull bodies, lots of metal and bright red and green on the top of course!







And lastly, although no where near finished i have my "just over 2k points" collection picture



It seems like only yesterday i was wondering how i was going to manage getting all the old stuff and now HERE.... its happened!!

coming up next... Bulls finished, Crew for warmachines finished, Sorcerer prophet finished and possibly a Triumph and Treachery games in the new year!

Already a nice collection.
I wonder how the problem with the big bases for the BCs can be solved, same with mine.
The bases look rather empty, the models were not made for these obviously.

i dont find it a problem per say... the base just defines the physical threat range of the creature...

Nice progress on the army! How about sticking some terrain or slaughtered enemies on the Bull Centaur bases? Perhaps a CD statue or stele?

there are currently rocks and some battlefield detritus on them... theyll get some grass tufts after painting and then they'll probably stay in that state as a 'playable unit' until i come back and decide to jazz them up a little...
