Splendid work output. Is it names for ships from the Man o' War army list and anything Chaos Dwarfen from Dreadfleet (plus my own inventions) you want for the nautical terms? Or is it actual nautical terms like steerboard, aft etc? The latter would be a bit difficult.

The advantage of Rinn-Zharr is that it captures the general temperament of Chaos Dwarf women. Respect to the Hat!

It's everything you mentioned actually, we could start off with the ships from Man O' War, Dreadfleet and your stuff! I think it could be hard with steerboard etc. but cannon would be a necessary term!

True, also like Kera said, it reflects that they're hotties aswell. I was on the way to name them Rinn-Tusk, meaning toothed lady dwarf at first, but I figured that would just have been mean Wink

Nice, you're already at nauticals!

The vessels I made up were these:

The Grappler boarding ship, which had six pick arms ready to strongly smash down on nearby foes to lock them in place. Also twin magma cannons

The Hellbarge, which is a cheap little ship sporting a chained Hellcannon and a similarly possessed Daemonic ram designed to catch the rampaging Hellcannon, in case of mishap, and make use of its forward momentum to propel the Hellbarge into enemy ships if the steersman can aim it. This ship has a small crew of Chaos Dwarfs as possible since Hellbarges will eventually be destroyed by their own Hellcannons one way or another, whether through direct attack or accidental sinking like capsizing when the hellcannon hits the ram, strikes enemy ships or cartwheels over the railing.

The humble Chaos Dwarf tugboat, necessary to transport the Ziggurat of the seas. Armed with a Magma Cannon for emergencies, it's just a steam-powered vessel sporting a strong chain and hook structure.

Every other ship mentioned was taken from Man o' War for continuity's sake. I hope this is of any help. I can't really figure out any sailor's terms which would be good to have in the dictionary and easy to translate.

RE: The Khaozalid DictionairyMadHatter 05-19-2014

The Tamurkhan states that the Dawi Zharr prefer to refer to themselves as "Uzkul-Drath-Zharr". We know from the Khazalid dictionary that the dwarfs refer to the Dawi-Zharr as "Frundrar - Tainted; a reference to Chaos Dwarfs". This gives us a couple of conclusions aswell as raise a couple of questions.

Conclusions
1. The Chaos Dwarfs use - and not ' grammatically (As HB has already pointed out)
2. Neither Dwarfs or Chaos Dwarfs refer to the Chaos Dwarfs as "Dawi Zharr"

Questions
1. Who refers to the Chaos Dwarfs as Dawi Zharr?
2. Since this part of the Tamurkhan contains Khazalid, is it perhaps this part that Priestley was involved in writing?
3. What does Uzkul-Drath-Zharr mean?

The last question is naturally the most important one. To break it down we have:

Uzgul, Uzkul - Bones or death

Drath - ?

Zharr - Fire

"Drath" is indeed troublesome and something that will have to be e-mailed to forgeworld and asked about. However the top-candidate is a relation to

Slaver - Dragh (Literally: Slaver) ; CDColloquial

Now, if Drath and Dragh are related we can assume that it means slaver, which would make the Chaos Dwarfs refer to themselves as something like "Death-Slavers of Fire". I feel it more than suitable really.

This would also mean that we would have a new very important weapons in our arsenal when laying siege to the veil of darkness that clouds our language.

1. If the words are related, and "Dra" would be the Khazalid root meaning "slave".

2. The endings -gh and -th are new Chaos Dwarf specific grammar, something new and amazing to work with really.

...

E-mail sent:
Hello again,

alot has happened in the CDO Khaozalid Dictionary Project since last I wrote you and among other things the entries from the Tamurkhan have all been translated. http://mail.chaos-dwarfs.com/forum/showt...#pid231928

Thanks alot again for helping out Happy

We're currently facing a problem with a term that we find in neither the old Khazalid dictionary or the Dark Tongue of Chaos, something major, which is how the Chaos Dwarfs prefer to refer to themselves, said in the Tamurkhan to be "Uzkul-Drath-Zharr", in contrast to some other new terms like K'Daai Uzkul-Drath-Zharr is obviously based on the old Khazalid language by Stillman and Priestley.

Were currently at:
Uzkul - Death (Khazalid)
Drath - ?
Zharr - Fire (Khazalid)

The only clue we got ourselves so far is that similar modern Chaos Dwarf word mentioned here, "Dragh"

"The Chaos Dwarfs refer to one Ogre, Braugh Slavelord, as "Ghrask Dragh" which means "corpse-slaver." An encounter with a Necromancer caused his slaves to continue serving him even in death." - Ogre Kingdoms 7th ed., Page 75, Paragraph 1 on Braugh Slavelord.

Could you guys help us out with the meaning of "Drath"?

Update 2014-10-10
*Liber Chaotica: Hashut -added to the reference section.
*-'Ut - Opposite of -added to the Dwarfified DToC section.

This is so brilliant, from Grimstonefire's work Liber Chaotica: Hashut

Hysh'ut (Hashut) was
one of these gods. Hysh meaning "Light magic"
and "ut" considered to mean the opposite.
Which would translate to "anti-light" or "Father
of Darkness".

Hashut
Hysh'ut (Literally: Anti-light, a.i. Father of Darkness)

Stem:
Hysh - Light magic (Dark Tongue of Chaos)
-Ut - Opposite of (Dark Tongue of Chaos)

Khazalid Grammar:
